CIRCULAR SUPPLY DIFFUSER FOR EXPOSED INSTALLATION

Tellus-PBM-OPUS is a circular supply air diffuser for exposed installation, combining the well-established Tellus-OPUS diffuser with a patented modular plenum solution. The PBM (Plenum Box Modular) enables conversion between exposed installation and ceiling installation, allowing the product to be rebuilt instead of replaced. Tellus-PBM-OPUS retains the proven performance of the Tellus-OPUS diffuser while introducing adjustable airflow control and a new level of adaptability through its modular design.

General information

Application
Tellus-PBM-OPUS is a circular supply air diffuser designed for exposed installation. The diffuser is suitable for both constant and variable air volume systems and provides excellent induction and controllable air
distribution. With adjustable Opus nozzles, the airflow pattern can be adapted to suit different room layouts and applications. This makes the product particularly suitable for spaces with varying
requirements or changing use. The integrated PBM plenum enables the product to function as both an air distribution device and a measurement and regulation
unit. The modular PBM design allows the product to be adapted if installation conditions change, for example when converting from
exposed installation to ceiling installation. This makes the product well suited for buildings with frequent refurbishment or tenant changes.


Functional description
Tellus-PBM-OPUS distributes supply air through adjustable Opus nozzles located in the diffuser front.
The nozzles can be configured to different airflow patterns:
  • rotational
  • 1-way
  • 2-way (180° or 90°)
This enables precise control of air distribution and optimal adaptation to room geometry. The diffuser features a fixed slot height, allowing easier
commissioning.
The PBM plenum:
  • ensures even airflow distribution
  • incorporates an airflow adjustment damper
  • includes measurement outlets for commissioning
  • contributes to sound attenuation
The integrated damper can be locked in any position for accurate airflow adjustment. The product can be equipped with the X-SENS-TPDM sensor, integrating temperature measurement and presence detection (PIR), enabling demand-controlled ventilation.

The PBM plenum introduces a cylindrical, modular design replacing traditional fixed plenum solutions. PBM – Plenum Box Modular:
  • cylindrical plenum design
  • patented solution enabling conversion between installation types
  • adaptable between exposed installation and ceiling installation
  • modular construction allowing reconfiguration without replacing the diffuser
The modular design enables reuse of the product in new configurations, reducing the need for replacement.


Material and surfaces
The diffuser is manufactured in steel.
Standard finish:
Diffuser front powder coated in RAL 9006 gloss 30, and plastic
nozzles in RAL 9006, for an unpainted steel design.
Optional finishes:
Special RAL or NCS colours on request. The diffuser front and
plenum box will then be painted in same color.
Opus nozzles:
  • manufactured in ABS plastic
The PBM plenum:
  • manufactured in galvanised steel
  • internally lined with sound absorbing polyester material
  • equipped with EPDM rubber gasket on connection spigot


Commissioning
The PBM plenum includes:
  • integrated airflow adjustment damper
  • measurement outlets for airflow verification
The damper is accessible via the removable front panel.
This enables simple
commissioning, accurate airflow adjustment and easy rebalancing
if system requirements change.


Maintenance
The removable front panel provides easy access to:
  • damper
  • measurement points
  • internal components
Maintenance is minimal and typically limited to inspection and
cleaning.
The product is designed for long service life and stable
performance.


Environment
Tellus-PBM-OPUS is designed to support sustainable building
solutions by extending the actual service life of ventilation
products.
In modern buildings, ventilation products are often replaced due
to layout changes rather than technical limitations. The patented
PBM concept enables reuse by allowing the product to be rebuilt
and adapted between different installation types.
This reduces the need for replacement and contributes to:
  • reduced material consumption
  • lower waste generation
  • decreased environmental impact from production and transport
The product is designed for durability, easy maintenance and long-term performance.
